Course Aim

The aim of this programme is to deliver a vocational qualification that prepares delegates to meet the necessary quality assurance required to assess practical learners competently. Providing standardisation of assessment across their area of work.  The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is a practical-based qualification intended for those who assess vocational skills, knowledge, understanding and occupational competence required in the working / applied environment outside of the workplace (i.e. the assessment takes place within a workshop, classroom or training environment). This qualification is mapped where applicable to the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and accredited on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).

Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy

The course is delivered practically with supplementary learning materials available online, before and after the course.  Competence and knowledge are assessed through practical assessment and a portfolio of evidence through a variety of methods. Students will be allocated an internal assessor and all assessments and evidence are verified by the internal verifier for the centre.
